Located off a main route into the city and on the site of three individual dwellings, this proposal for fourteen houses aims to maximise the opportunties offered by the site. Providing a mix of two and three storey housing in four terrace ranges, the sloping site provides each dwelling with south facing views across the Avon Valley. The siting of the new buildings also retain the protected and well-established trees and are arranged to minimise the impact of vehicle parking. The private gardens of the houses are kept deliberately small as the scheme proposes simple landscaping which provides communal spaces where neighbours will meet and children can play in safety. The intention is for a small community to emerge.
