The owners of this early C20th house came to us after a recommendation from a previous client. They wanted to convert their existing garage and utility extension to provide a flexible area for use as a family room and occasional guest bedroom with a new bathroom and utility. Our proposal provides a spacious open plan solution with an internal folding partition system that bisects the space to provide visual and acoustic separation to the guest accommodation. Metal sliding folding doors provide level access out to the terrace, maximise natural daylight and provide views across the city. Contained within the existing footprint, the works were carried out under permitted development rights and did not require planning consent.
