This house was not listed but perhaps in another place would have been. It is an interesting house dating back probably to the early C18th. The house was at one time used as a small family sized factory for making mattresses. An extension added in the mid eighteenth century which was in use as a fire station for a while.
This family house had a tiny kitchen – standing room only! – so our work involved the renovation of the services in the house, and the replacement of a rear extension with a new, enlarged rear extension to house the new kitchen and a study. This also enabled some limited organisation of the ground floor to improve the flow of the main living spaces.
